Graceling by Kristin Cashore

Review of Graceling by Kristin Cashore | Brass Knuckle Book Reviews

Title: Graceling
Author: Kristin Cashore
Genre: YA

Katsa has been able to kill a man with her bare hands since she was 8. So she's totally fucking bad-ass.

In the Seven Kingdoms, if you're born with mismatched eyes, you're "Graced." That means you kick ass at one thing in particular. Some people are Graced at swimming, some at dancing. Katsa is Graced at killing... or so she thinks.

She works as an enforcer and assassin for her tyrant uncle, King Randa. She is not happy because he's a dick and everyone is scared of her. BUT she's secretly working to unseat the king. When
she meets Prince Po, who is Graced with combat skills, she knows he can help. They set out together to uncover a terrible secret, and Katsa discovers a secret of her own: her Grace is not what she thought it was.

Graceling is one of my favourite damn books EVER. The plot moves really quickly, the characters are amazing, and Katsa is fucking awesome.

You must read this book.

VERDICT:

4/5 Brass Knuckles

Full disclosure: I bought this with my hard-earned cash because a librarian told me to.
